Orange County Symphony and Orange County Wind Symphony 

announce the second annual

"SYMPHONY ON BIRCH STREET"
Following the 2010 wildly successful 3 night concert series where over 5,000 people attended the 3 nights of symphonic programming under the stars in a family friendly setting, Birch street in Brea will again be the "place to be" on July 5, 6 & 7, 2011. Target is the Title sponsor in collaboration with Orange County Symphonies, the City of Brea and the Brea Downtown Owners Association presenting concerts with fresh repertoire each of 3  evenings at 7:00 PM. The concerts are themed with July 5th, Tribute to America 9/11 featuring patriotic selections. the July 6th concert will showcase excerpts from well known Movie scores. The concluding concert will be on July 7th with Broadway favorites and vocalists performing with the symphony. Parking is free in adjacent structures, seating is "first come" open on Birch Street between Madrone and Walnut Streets. The concert series event is offered as a gift to the community. 
 
As part of the "Symphony on Birch Street" 2010 series a Musical Playground was offered starting at 4:00 PM featuring workshop booths oriented toward music education in interactive activities for children and families such as rhythm awareness, instrument making, a "Petting Zoo" featuring instruments used in orchestra performance that children could touch and become familiar with, face painting, "Conducting with the Maestro" and much more.
The 2011 series will once again offer this element called "Music Exploratorium". Vendors are welcome to apply. See information:
